So it finally snowed! Usually Maine has snow by Christmas but it has been unseasonably warm this year there too so we didn't get a white Christmas but we did get around ten inches of snow a few days later. I'm thinking that Carlie didn't really know exactly what snow was until she woke up to the white world and was able to get out and dive in.
It's was great to watch Carlie in the snow. She figured out pretty quickly that snow is some cold stuff. She just loved to dive into the snow banks that the snow plows had piled up but she was quickly wet since she didn't have a snowsuit. Carlie had been praying for snow even before she knew we were going to Maine and she kept saying how it was, "Just like I prayed for."
That's saltwater that's freezing. Needless to say it was cold on this particular morning. The seagulls didn't seem to mind though. Those are some tough birds.
