Bryan B&B

 Our last night in Washington.

We went out to get some supper and saw this little dog tide up by the sidewalk. I was a little worried about him that he might have been abandoned but when we came back by he was gone.

 The pickle barrel

After getting back to the hotel I got a migraine and I don't remember anything else of the evening. John took over and got the kids in bed.

 Hot chocolate in the morning.

Carlie and Donny were very fascinated with the Bible in the hotel and wanted to take it with us.

After another day of driving we were about to Georgia when we stopped for a quick supper.

Donny didn't want to eat his supper he was so excited about the fireman picture.

Carlie wanted this puppy to go home with her. He doesn't look like too much fun to me but she thought he was.

John's brother Steve and Emily let us stop in for a night of rest. It was great to see them again and Carlie and Donny loved the playroom.

 Little Katie just turned one.

Emily has the toys all organized and picture signs so even the kids can clean up.

Breakfast together. I love this picture. Carlie has the infatuated smile and Keiffer is just playing it cool.

Time for a Curious George movie before going hiking.
Donny isn't not old enough to like movies and I'm fine with that. He lasted about a minute.

Katie's a little snuggle bug and was happy to have Donny's spot on the couch.

Donny got a batman cape because Keiffer had a batman coat but Donny didn't like it much.

We hiked up Stone Mountain on a very chilly morning.  The mountain has the great stone work or the Confederate leaders chiseled into its granite front. We never did get a picture of it though.

It wasn't too bad as long as you kept moving, especially if you had a warm little baby to carry.

 Batman to the rescue.

Some girls just don't know how to be rescued.

"You will kindly give me back my arm, Sir!"

Donny and John just reaching the top.

Emily, Carlie, and Keiffer were first at the top, I think.

On the way back down Donny was just about asleep.

Thank you Steve and Emily! We'll give your B&B a very good review.

One last stop to stretch our legs. Carlie was cold and borrowed Daddy's coat. She thought it was so funny to fall down on purpose because the coat was so soft, and because it made Donny laugh.

Donny still holding the police car the Aunties gave him. We made it back that evening and we really miss everyone in Maine but after a long road trip it's nice to be home. Carlie had a really hard time leaving everyone, especially her snowman, but Donny was so happy to be home again in a place he knows. It was certainly a Christmas we will always remember and cherish! A special thank you to, John, who gave me the most precious gift of all, time with my family and friends, memories for the kids, and time together.
