The First Snow

This painting hangs in the foyer of Eggemoggin Baptist Church. It is of the baptism of Daniel Merrill, who started the first Baptist Church in this part of Maine and was very influential as a statesman and a leader in the Baptist faith in early America.

This little Chapel is were I attended church until I was a teenager. It is only about a quarter of a mile away from where the new church building was built.

After church there were a few flurries of snow.

Carlie and Donny's very first snow.

Donny didn't seem to realize what was happening much.

Carlie was so excited and squealed and ran around in circles and laughing.
She had been praying that she could go to Grammies and have snow for over a month.

Then it was home to Handsome Grandfather and another story of the Three Little Pigs.

 Sunday supper..

Good to the last drop...Carlie licking the bottom of her little cup of hot chocolate.

Grammie has several sets of tiny coffee mugs she says she keep just for the grandkids to use and break. They have stayed together so far and the kids do so enjoy using them for hot chocolate. She is such a wonderful Grammie.
