We returned to see old faithful on the last day since we weren't able to see it go off the first time we stopped by the site. We waited with hundreds of others to see the geyser.
It just kept steaming as we held our breath.

This steaming stream flowing over this rock was so beautiful.
Carlie hates having her hair blow in her face. You can see she is trying to keep it out of her eyes in this picture.
This string is the most colorful at Yellowstone and the one you so often see pictured but they don't tell you that is steams so much that you can hardly even see it unless you fly over it or climb the mountains surrounding the spring.

It was a great vacation and with many miles to go we were ready to get on the road.
This lake reminded me very much the beaches in Bar Harbor, Maine.
I was fascinated by these rocks that rose out the ground in an angle. I couldn't imagine the force that must have made all these structures.
