Uncle Tim and Auntie Becca are a great help and often watch Carlie Jane and John D. while I go grocery shopping. They live almost directly across the street from Walmart so it works out well to drop them off and go shopping. It is such a big help.
Putting cousin's paci' back in.
For being almost a year apart in age they are not that much different in size.
This is a skilled Daddy and Uncle multitasking.
John D. sleeping in the shade while Paul and Carlie Jane swim.
The place we were swimming was shady but soon the sun covered the river and we didn't want the babies to get sunburned so we moved to play in the shade.
Getting the diaper bags full of sand and the wet babies were totally covered with sand and got us covered too.
Saggy, baggy, swimming shirt.
Carlie Jane's sandy toes.
I just love baby feet!
Look at those eyes!
Carlie was trying to rock John D. in his seat and clean up the blanket.
She looks so funny when she gets all motherly.
Back from washing off sand in the water.
Carlie Jane working out a puzzle while we wait...
and wait...
for Tim to come..
To help us....
Get our car unlocked...
because we locked the keys in the trunk.
Tim was great and drove all the way out to be with us until the locksmith got there
and opened the car for us. I felt bad for Tim but he was a great sport.
It worked out so much better than it could have, thank the Lord. We had cell phone reception, which isn't always the case out there. Becca's phone was just about dead but had just enough life left to call Tim before it died. I'm not sure how far it would have been to the nearest house and with three babies...we would have had to all gone looking for help or some one would have had to stay at the beach alone with three babies and one go walking off by herself looking for help. It work out ok and makes a great memory for Becca and I even if the babies will never remember it.
Tired and happy.
John D. and Paul were both sleeping in their car seats but by the time I found the camera to take this photo.
Someone was awake.
Thank you for all the fun Becca and Paul and for the rescue, Tim.
