Shed IV

Last week Carlie Jane had her 18 month check up and John had his two month check up.

Carlie Jane enjoyed the little play set in the waiting room.

Trying to keep warm while waiting for the doctor.

 Brother's blanket helped.
Little John is a gentleman whether he likes it or not.
Carlie feels free to take his blankets for herself whenever she feels chilly to try to keep herself warm.

Vaccinations aren't fun but neither is getting very sick.
So thankful for modern medicine!

 A special package from Maine.
Mrs. Wardwell sent us a package last week and Carlie was very excited to open it.
I will have to share a picture of the Christmas stocking she made for John.
She made one for Carlie Jane last year!
They are so beautiful and perfect!
For years she has been making these Christmas stockings for all the babies she knows.
In fact my Dad has his Christmas stocking she made him when he was born and it's the same
pattern she made John and Carlie. I should take a picture of them together.
Thank you Mrs Wardwell! It's perfectly gorgeous!
Friday was John's day off and he decided to take a break and go to the river.
A little vacation before another week of work on the shed and everything else.

Carlie loved it just like she did last time.

She definitely knew where we were when she got out of the car and saw the water.

She was squealing and pointing at the river as she hurried down the hill.

There wasn't as much for Little John and I to do but we sat under the umbrella and he was happy just to be outdoors.

John took Carlie in the water and helped her go out where it was a little deeper.
I always keep her where the water is shallow.
Daddy is so much more fun!

My beach blanket buddy, Johnny Donny Doodles.

John left Carlie to go out where it was deep enough for him to swim a little.

She was very impressed with his swimming and splashing around.

But was glad when he came back to play with her.

A little break for a drink.

 A dry, chilly girl.

Having a little snack while we dry off and warm up

She didn't like Brother touching her snack bag.
I think she was worried he was going to take some gold fish.

 The beautiful river

 Some river water curls.

Saturday was another day of working on the shed with Nate

It is really coming together now.

They were hoping to get some of the roof on this weekend but a little afternoon
thunder shower put them behind and we'll have to wait for another week.

 Cousin time

A Sunday afternoon.
John went out to try to figure out how to keep the water off the second floor until he can
get the roof on. A tarp over the top finally was the solution, just for a little peace of mind through the week.
