John had today off and we worked mostly around the house, with John
running a few errands in the early afternoon. Carlie has a cold and has
been sleeping a lot today. Now she has had her bath and John is rocking
her to sleep in her swing. The swing the modified today with permanent
hooks which help it to swing much better.
John planted
another row of beans in the garden this evening before coming in to
supper of blueberry pancakes with strawberry syrup. We slept in this
morning a little and decided to have a special breakfast at the end of
the day rather than the beginning to be sure we got everything
accomplished that we wanted to.
In this fist garden we have green beans, carrots, onions, and potatoes.
In this second garden we have squash, zucchini, rutabaga, bell peppers, and tomatoes. We also have radishes planted in another area not shown here.
This is Carlie Jane she gets to grow in a garden all to herself. :)
Here's our orange tree. It's got some new green growth on it after Ness and I froze all the previous green off of it on one particularly cold winter night. Fortunately it didn't completely kill the tree and it looks like it's trying to make a comeback.
Ness was impressed by the green suddenly bursting forth today as spring has arrived. I must say it is beautiful to see all the green after the brown of winter.
